Home VeterinariansDr. Kim Danoff
Dr. Danoff received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1999. After completing a one-year internship in small animal medicine at Tufts University, she worked as an emergency and critical care practitioner at referral hospitals in Northern Virginia for 2½ years. Dr. Danoff's interest in holistic medicine stemmed from her desire to seek alternatives for her patients with terminal illnesses and conditions that were non-responsive to traditional medicine. She has found through her experience that the best outcomes occur when "complementary" therapies are integrated into a more "traditional" treatment plan. Prior to graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Danoff became certified in Reiki and is now a Reiki Master Practitioner. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and certified in veterinary rehabilitation through The University of Tennessee. Currently, Dr. Danoff is completing certification in massage therapy, herbal medicine and veterinary practice management.
Dr. Danoff is a vegan and shares her home with 14 rescued companion animals. These include 2 physically challenged dogs, 5 cats, 3 parrots, 2 snakes and 2 lizards. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, canoeing, adventure travel, theater, wine tasting, and spending time with her human and animal family.
