Home Info: Customer QuotesChase E. Racer and I want to thank you for the wonderful visit and the sweet welcome and comfort given by Sir Charlie. Chase E. Racer (due to blindness in right eye and left eye is compromised with cataracts) is very uncomfortable with other animals being too close to him, but Charlie was able to communicate peace, comfort and security to my little guy and the snuggling between the two was adorable!
Joyce (Chase—geriatric Shih Tzu with tetraplegia and numerous medical problems)
(Duncan) sends his kisses and wants you to know that he misses you.
Nancy, Duncan, and family (Duncan—7-year-old Great Dane with two bouts of tetraplegia, secondary to a herniated disc, that resolved with therapies at VHRC)
I know this is not much, but I hope it can go towards paying for some of Cole's treatment. You are a very kind person and I hope you are blessed in your life.
Dorie (Cole is a Doberman Dr. Danoff rescued in Florida, with severe pain in his back legs. This resulted in him walking on just his front legs and causing him to chew all the flesh off his back legs below his ankles).
Your office has been so warm to me and Hari. If anyone can get him back on his feet, I know you will.
Mira (Hari—6-year-old Maltese with joint problems)
Thank you so much for getting both Chester and Mercedes back on the walking trail. Mercedes acts like a two-year-old—she is doing fantastic. Chester is moving around better and seems much happier. I believe the supplements really help her. Thank you so much for helping them!
Casey (Chester—13-year-old Labrador with arthritis in rear legs; Mercedes—5-year-old Newfoundland with ACL repairs and disc issues)
It's nice to know that there are still some people in this business who put animal welfare first. You are a credit to your profession and I am proud to be working with you to help Maxi.
Morgen with Dynasplint
From the first day Bubba came to see you, I knew he was in the right place. Your dedication to the most innocent and helpless of creatures was obvious. Your skills were manifest, and Bubba was the beneficiary of your work. His last 18 months of life were incalculably better because of you. You made it possible for Bubba to recover most of his ability to enjoy everything that had made him so happy for so long...exploring his yard, demanding that I play with him, and all the other things that I had originally believed he had slowly lost forever to arthritis...until the very end his days were happy. For restoring so much joy to him, I am more grateful to you than I can say.
Bernie (Bubba-14 year old Golden Retriever-arthritis and weakness)
I am so moved by your devotion to animals. My favorite Bible verse is Genus 2:14 "…what's the use of saying you have faith if you don't prove it by your actions?" You prove by your actions that you truly care and care for all animals and will go to great lengths to help them. When the animal victims of Katrina needed help you did not hesitate to leave your practice and your home to help them. Now you are truly proving you are an angel sent to help Maxi.
Elizabeth
Thank you so much for helping Sophie go so peacefully. I had always hoped that, if I had to make that decision, that she could go with me holding her, in her own home.
Gemma (Sophie-14 year old Dalmation-Poor Mobility)
We thank you for caring and trying so much to help all the four-legged kids in the world.
Teddie (guinea pig), Wendi, and Lin
We want to thank you for all your hard work and caring for Grover. We really appreciate everything you've done, and everything we've learned from you about caring for animals in general. Our dog, Bentley, and our future pets will be better off because we met you!
Nicole and Mike (Grover-8 year old cat-Cystitis)
Thank you so much for making me feel better when I was sick. I am getting better every day and trying my best to be on bed rest, like you told me to. I am still taking my medicine and it makes me feel better. Even though I’m sometimes not nice to other dogs, Charles was very nice to me and I like him.
"Sammy" (Toy Poodle Mix-neck pain)
Just a short note and "Big" thank you! Tootie was in her 1st AKC Agility Trial since her back injury last November and on April 9 and 10 in Gloucester, VA. She was 1st place in her master's jumpers with weaves preferred 8" class! She ran a beautiful course on Saturday and did the same on Sunday. Her times were fast - 40 and 41 seconds. You should have heard the crowd roar as we hit the finish line.
Sonja and Tootie (6 year old Pug-rear weakness)
I just wanted to write to thank you and your staff for giving us one of the best Christmas presents ever this year-a brand new dog...At times he couldn't walk around the block without stopping to lie down. Now he runs down the block, plays with our other dog, and at age 11, is acting like a puppy again. I just want you to know how much we appreciate all the good work you do.
Cathy and Beavis (Large mixed breed-severe arthritis)
Thank you and your wonderful staff for caring so much for Roscoe. He's still a little weak but walks with almost no limp. I will never forget what you did and you'll always have a special place in my heart.
Donna and Roscoe (3 year old Black Lab)
We would like to thank you and your staff for the attentive care you all gave Nikki during the final months of her life. Although no one expected Nikki to ever be cured of her crippling malady, we feel that your treatments and tender loving care enabled her to get around and to experience a better quality of life, if only for a short time.
Dan, Eileen, and Annie (Nikki-11 year old Collie-rear limb paralysis)
Thanks for wonderful care to my miracle cat Bianca. She continues to rule at 15 and 1/2 years!
Karen and Bianca (16 year old Siamese Cat-Asthma)
Thanks for all you do to bring healing and relief to our companion animals.
Leslie, Blackie (11 year old Black Lab Mix), and Boss (11 year old Large Mixed Breed-Severe arthritis in hips)
I can’t thank you enough for all your compassion and skill that helped both Twister and I through this difficult time. You and your staff have been great! I know Twister will miss peaceful times with Charles and your gentle hands and love. Thanks for everything.
Holly (Twister-13 year old Shelter-brain tumor)
Thank you for your care for our beloved Henson. When we first came to you we were looking for hospice care, but your therapies and supplements gave us an unexpected, additional, precious 8 months with her. All of your staff were wonderful with her. Renee in the tank, Maria coaxing her to walk down the halls with a cookie bribe. We and Henson were so lucky to find you. Thank you.
Ron and Traci (Henson-19 year old Beagle-mobility issues)
Thank you so much for all of the TLC that you gave Raya. I can tell how happy she was while she was there.
Genevieve and Raya (4 year old American Bull Terrier-Cruciate Ligament Repair)
Thanks so much for all of your help with Lady. We know your efforts really helped improve her quality of life. Mary Lee and I appreciated all you did.
Dan and Mary Lee (Lady-14 year old Black Lab-arthritis and rear weakness)
Thank you so much for the card you sent following Dax's death. And thanks also for the care that you provided her, and us, which did much to ease her pain and extend her life with a high level of quality. Now that some time has passed, we've started to look into adopting another rescued dog. We hope that you don't mind, but we have listed you as a reference on an application we filled out for a Collie rescue group. We can't think of anyone that we would rather have in our corner. Thanks again for everything!
Cindy and John (Dax-14 year old Dalmation-arthritis and back pain)
I am deeply touched by the compassionate and and efficient service rendered to Sherman who was very scared of any vets due to his traumatic experiences. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU :)
May and Sherman (8 year old Golden Retriever-Chronic Ear Infections)
When I think about Snicker's lowest hematocrit* reading in mid-July which was 10.0, 45.0 (hematocrit today) really drives home the progress that has been made here. I truly believe she would not be where she is today without your intervention. We really need more Vets out there that bring alternative treatments into the realm of our pet's treatment plans. And I have to say, we really should consider this the norm and not an alternative. Thank you for everything you did for Snickers. You have no idea how much I appreciate you and the work you do.
Sue and Snickers (6 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever – Immune-Mediate Hemolytic Anemia)
* hematocrit - the percentage by volume of packed red blood cells in a given sample of blood after centrifugation. I just heard back from Brick's surgeon and he said Brick was doing very well and that she is ahead of 90% of dogs at this point in their recovery. He thought that she was a few months ahead of schedule and said to keep listening to you [Dr. Danoff] as your advice has clearly been the difference...I'm so happy and can't thank you and your staff enough!!! Please share the great news! Jean and Brick (1 year old Mastiff – ACL tear)
Thank you very much for all your help and efforts to bring some more life into Jenna's back legs...I also want to thank Charles with an extra thank you. He is definitely a big plus in a quiet way. Mrs. Hafrey (Re: Jenna – 9 year old German Shepherd – Rear limb weakness)
Thank you...Somehow these two words can't express the gratitude that I feel...We have heard the expression that goes something like this: "When a student is ready, the Teacher will come." Fortunately for me, this sentiment sums up my experience over the last three months. What we might just say instead is "When the dog is in need, the love will lead us." Grace, love and joy are the words that only partially describe how Merlot and I experienced life with you at the [Veterinary Holistic &] Rehabilitation Center. The care, kindness and freedom that you provided my darling girl will remain among my happiest memories of Merlot. Just last week my chiropractor said, "Alice, Osteosarcoma? Why didn't you just put her down immediately? There's no cure." Certainly we knew there was a 'poor prognosis' for Merlot. In my mind and memory, that was a minor detail. Cures are possibilities in our universe always. But we can only experience the cure when we try. You get it. Thank you for all of your love and kindness. We will never forget it and appreciate your [sympathy] card more than you will ever know. Alice and Clay (Re: Merlot – 10 year old Rottweiler – Osteosarcoma/Hospice Care)
