Stolen Dog: Stella—$5,000 Reward

Stella
Dr. Danoff's dog, Stella, is missing. Stella is a 1 1/2 year old female spayed Doberman with a congenital limb deformity of her left forelimb (lobster claw foot), natural ears and a tatoo on her inner thigh: #95058.

She was last seen in Winchester, Virginia with Alla McGeary, but we were told she was sent out of state. We are concerned that someone may be thinking of amputating her limb, and we do not want this to happen. We just want our clinic assistant and beloved companion, Stella, returned home safely.

Suspect Alla McGeary, has been charged with 2 felonies: grand larceny and failure to return stolen property. A criminal trial date is set for April 2, 2008. If seen, please immediately contact the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office @ 540-665-6383 and ask for investigator Eric Heflin or Glen Williamson (Attorney) or Dr. Kim Danoff @ 703-938-2563. Help Us Bring Stella Home! We miss her dearly.

In Loving Memory of "Duncan"

Duncan

We first met Duncan in June 2003 after he was paralyzed in all four limbs from a herniatic disc in his neck and was recovering from surgery. Duncan spent 6 weeks with us while re-learning to walk again, followed by another 4 weeks after a relapse, and once again re-learned to walk. Over the 10 weeks he spent with us, Duncan became one of the family. He demonstrated remarkable courage and motivation through all his therapies-traits we all admired. He was a joy to work with as he appreciated the time that was devoted to making him more comfortable and easing his pain. He knew we were here to help him and showed his gratitude with the biggest and best kisses one could ever ask for. He sat in our lobby and greeted our patients and clients with a loud "woof" and would struggle to get up to say hello and sniff the female dogs that came in (Duncan was all male). Those girls were the best form of encouragement we could ask for, even better than treats. Luckily, Duncan was able to go home where he continued to improve and was hopping in and out of the car again like a normal dog. Unfortunately, Duncan passed away quickly at home the other night.

Duncan

Duncan,

You touched so many of our hearts with your strength and courage. Your desire to overcome tremendous obstacles, and to do so with great poise, was something we can all learn from. We love you and will miss you always. You have a special place in our hearts forever. You're the best, Dunkie Doo.

Love and "Woofs",
Kim, Charles, Amanda, Patty, and staff
