History: Knee surgery 2 weeks prior to presentation.
Exam Findings: Toe-touching lameness right hindlimb; decreased range of motion on extension of knee; overweight (79.1 lbs)
Goals: shorten recovery time; return to normal function; weight loss to improve her overall health and to slow the progression of arthritis in her knee.
Treatment Plan: pain management (Etogesic), heat therapy, stretching, leash walks, weight loss/dietary counseling, underwater treadmill 2 times per week.
Outcome: By 10/25/02, Daisy was close to normal mobility.
Latest Update: As of 1/15/03 Daisy is living a normal life and enjoying the same activities she did in the past. She now has a new physique after losing 15 lbs. She looks great!
